Recruiting
One of the hardest aspects about offering your customers and hostesses
the opportunity of starting their own Stampin' Up! business is having the
confidence that you can support new Demonstrators in your group.
Be assured that I am here to help you. Stampin' Up! has many wonderful
training tools on their website in the Upline
Corner. Stampin' Up! also has wonderful tools for new recruits
in the New
Demonstrator section. Use the resources below to find and direct
your new Demonstrators to the information they need.
When someone expresses interest
in receiving more information about being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, give
them:
When you hand out this information, set a time to follow up with them,
then follow through and answer any questions they may have.
When someone is ready to
sign up, use the Checklist
for a Potential Recruit (Upline
Corner / Recruiting / Recruit Packet Contents / Potential Recruit Checklist) and give them:
You can put all this in a Recruit Folder - 106111 (5) $2.50 Supply Order.
Help them choose their stamp sets and accessories. Help them fill
out the Order Form and Application. Offer to put it in the mail for
them. Set up a time for their Initial Training. Ask them to
fill out the What I Love about Stampin' Up!, Goal Setting, and Financial
Planning Worksheets and bring these to the Initial Training. Pick
a date for their Starter Show.
Once their paperwork has been sent in,
give them:
You can put this all in a Recruit Folder - 106111 (5) $2.50 Supply Order.
I cover this Initial Training
information with a new recruit at a Demonstrator Dinner and Training I host
once per month. We simply walk through the Checklist for a New Recruit
and Supplemental Checklist. We cover all the background business information
and the Checklist for a New Recruit Guide allows them to find this information
again as the need arises.
Continuing Training - Stampin' Time, SOS, Stampin' Chat
Stampin' Time is a gathering once
per month for Demonstrators and potential Demonstrators. We start with
Business Builders training (you can get ideas for topics under Business Builders), followed by Shoebox
project stampin'. Shoebox projects allow everyone to share their project
ideas and the opportunity to try new techniques.
SOS (Stamp or Scrap) Night is once per month, open to Demonstrators
and customers. It is a time to bring whichever project you are currently
working on and have time to work on it! Ask questions, look at samples.
Stampin' Chat is an on-line business discussion
once per month for Demonstrators.
Manager's Share is a quarterly meeting
of Demonstrators Supervisor and above.

Belinda Ellsworth recommends handing out 3 recruit brochures at every workshop
if you want your business to grow. In a future addition to this page,
I will summarize for you how Belinda says to get those brochures out with
the greatest return.
