*** OPPORTUNITY NIGHT
***
A great way to turn potential demonstrators into New Demonstrators is by
hosting an Opportunity Night. These events can help someone progress
in the process of deciding whether the demonstrator opportunity is right
for her. An event that is focused on sharing information, answering questions
about demonstrating, and providing group support in this new business. Find
Opportunity
Night information on the Stampin' Up! website. If you are local
to me, join me at the Opportunity Night I am hosting on Tuesday, August 23,
7pm. Invite your recruit leads. No need to create your Opportunity
Night, there is power and excitement in a group! If you are not local
to me, host your own or join with other demonstrators in your area to create
your own Opportunity Night. Who to invite? Anyone to whom you
have ever given a recruit brochure, anyone who has ever asked about minimum
sales requirements, any previous hostess, anyone who has purchased $100 or
more in supplies, anyone you think would make a great demonstrator, anyone
who you think could use an extra $300 per month. As I create the invitation,
presentation, and stamping projects for the Opportunity Night, I will post
them on my webpage for you to CASE (copy and stamp everything!).
*** BUSINESS
QUICK TIPS ***
Use these ideas in to help you find recruit leads:
So, just how do you find a recruit at your shows? It’s easy! Just tell your
story. Keep it short – no more than a couple minutes in length – simple and
relatable. Tell your guests a little bit about yourself and how you became
involved with your company. Never prejudge your guests. Always share your
story at every show.
Also, plant recruiting seeds all throughout your presentation. Some
examples of verbal recruiting seeds could be: "Everything you see here came
in my starter kit." "Starting your own business is as easy as booking a show!"
One of the best recruiting seeds is: "How many of you would love to eliminate
one bill out of your monthly budget?" That usually gets most everyone’s attention.
Then continue with, "Well, do you know that just by doing one show a week,
you can eliminate almost any bill in your budget, next to your mortgage,
because we make an average of $75 in an evening? So, what could an extra
$300 do for you and your family at the end of the month?" That is a powerful
recruiting seed! Continue by giving examples of what an extra $300
per month would do for them, pay off bills, vacation, car, remodel, college
tuition fund, etc.
Then simply say: "So, ladies, if you would just like some information to
take home with you and look at in the privacy of your home, I would be happy
to send you home with a packet this evening." Then just continue on with
your show, after dropping that little seed.
Now, sell the try idea. "You know, ladies, this is what is so great about
Stampin' Up!. They literally give you a chance to give it a try; it’s basically
a very minimal investment. They simply ask you to do a handful of shows with
some friends of your own. At the end of that time, I can pretty much guarantee
that you’ll have your kit paid for and have cash in your pocket. And if you
decide this isn’t for you, simply walk away with no further obligation whatsoever.
Memorize the above verbiage and practice it so it flows easily. Then begin
handing out at least THREE recruit brochures at every single show. You
will see big recruiting results if you adopt and practice this one simple
habit. Three information packets at every show. Why? Because the statistics
say that when you talk to 10 people, at least one of them is going to join.
The above information excerpts from an article on The Success Express.
