How do I receive my 20% discount?
Demonstrators receive their 20% discount as Instant
Income everytime we place a catalog product order. A catalog
product order includes Hostess Order, Customer Order, and Demonstrator
Order. We do not receive 20% Instant Income on Supply Orders as these
are not catalog product orders. When you place a catalog product
order, you will submit payment for 80% of the order. Let's say it
is a $100 order. You would submit payment for $80 (plus ship and
tax on the $100) and retain the additional $20 paid to you by the customer
placing the order. This way you do not have to wait to be compensated
by SU!, you instantly have your 20% income.
On OEX, what is the difference between Hostess
Order, Demonstrator Order, Customer Order, and Supply Order?
A Hostess Order is any order or combination of orders totalling over
$150 in catalog product. Hostess Benefits are earned by the Hostess.
A Customer Order is any individual catalog product order (not connected
to a workshop) placed for less than $150. No Hostess Benefits are
earned when placing a Customer Order. A Demonstrator Order is a catalog
product order placed by you, the Demonstrator. No Hostess Benefits
are earned when placing a Demosntrator Order. I generally only place
catalog product orders for myself in a Demonstrator Order when necessary.
It would be necessary to place the catalog product order in a Demonstrator
Order when Demonstrators are allowed to "pre-purchase" specials prior to
the beginning of the special. Otherwise, I place my catalog product
orders as my own Hostess Order, if the order is big enough, or as a guest
on a Hostess's workshop order, or sometimes as a Customer Order.
Supply Orders are when Demonstrators are placing an order for non-catalog
product business supplies: Bulk Catalogs, Incentive Sets, Order Forms,
etc. No Hostess Benefits are earned when placing a Supply Order.
When is there a $3.95 Minimum Shipping fee?
There is a $3.95 Minimum Shipping fee only on individual orders
(Customer Orders or Supply Orders) less than $39.50 and not connected
to a Hostess Order. Guests at a workshop are not required to pay
the $3.95 minimum shipping fee if the total of the workshop qualifies as
a Hostess Order. Guests will pay the 10% shipping charge. As
stated on the Customer Order Form: "If ordering as part of a workshop,
add 10% of Line A (Total of Merchandise Ordered). If submitting as
individual order outside a workshop, add 10% of Line A or $3.95, whichever
is greater."
What do I do when a Hostess orders more than
what they have earned for free?
When a Hostess orders more than they have earned for free, submit the
"over" products as a Guest Order. While OEX will allow you to order
the overage on the Hostess Benefits page, you do not receive Instant Income
on anything ordered on the Hostess Benefits page, including the overage.
Another reason for ordering on a Guest Order, this overage will increase
the total of her workshop and may bump her up to the next level of Benefits.
As a Demonstrator, can I host a workshop and
receive Hostess Benefits?
You can host a workshop at anytime for yourself. You can receive
Hostess Benefits. Offering a Stamp Camp, Class, Open House, or just
collecting orders. Submit any orders totalling over $150 as a Workshop
and use the Hostess Benefits to build your supplies.
Why can't I save my credit card number in the
Demonstrator Profile?
You must sign up for Direct Deposit/EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer)
for you to be able to save your credit card information in your Demonstrator
Profile so you don't have to enter your credit card number each time you
place an order.
How to I find my Activity Statement from more
than three months ago?
You can download your monthly statements (Activity Statement, Downline
Report) from the SU! webpage, but you can only access a 3 month history.
You will not be able to retrieve reports older than 3 months. Print
off (or save to disk) your Activity Statement and Downline Report each
month. I have a note on my calendar to download the information on
the 14th of each month so I have the information to be able to complete
my taxes each year.
Why doesn't my SU! 1099 match what I have recorded
as my SU! income from last year?
The 1099 you receive (if you earned more than $600 in commissions,
incentives, etc. in the previous year) does not include all your "income"
from SU!. You must also report your instant income and volume rebates
earned. There is an article in the January 2004 Stampin' Success
newsletter about "tax time". Also consult with your tax advisor.
If you did not receive a 1099, you can print it off from the SU! webpage,
Business Tools/Demonstrator Maintenance/1099 Report.
